A couple have made an emotional appeal to thieves to return precious pictures of their son who died after he was born at 18 weeks.

Piers Harbour and his partner Claire Stratton fear they may never see the only photos they have of their son Leo again after two Acer laptops which contained the images were stolen from their home in Newbridge Avenue, Sittingbourne, between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, October 24.

During the burglary a Fuji digital camera containing photos of the couple’s other two children, and a Nintendo Wii were also taken.

Piers said: "We kept all of our photos of our son Leo on the computer and we have nothing left to remember him by.

"Our son wasn’t with us very long we had a few pictures with him and we had them on both our laptops in case anything happened to one of them but the people who broke in took both laptops. We don’t care about the laptops or cameras because we can replace those but there’s absolutely no way we can get those pictures back of our son."

Appealing to the thieves Mr Harbour said: "If you still have the laptops and cameras please, please bring them back. We’ve also had our video camera stolen, which had recordings of our children Bailey and Phoenix. These items hold great sentimental value to us and we just want them returned as soon as possible.

"We know if you sell them on quickly someone will probably delete what was on them and we will have nothing, that’s all we have of our son and that’s what we want back."
