A crash between two vehicles has blocked part of the M2 motorway for around 90 minutes.

It happened on the coastbound carriageway between Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Junction 6 for Faversham at around 6.30pm.

One lane was initially blocked, but there were reports that traffic ground to a halt.

The road eventually reopened at around 8pm.
