A crash - possibly involving a farm vehicle - closed the A249 this evening.

The A249 heading towards Sittingbourne was shut near Chalky Road, which heads towards South Street, following the collision outside Roydens Ltd Car Dealer in Stockbury.

Eyewitness reported 'at least three cars and some kind of farm vehicle' at the scene, though it is not clear how many of these were involved in the crash.

The carriageway was covered in glass and men in hi-vis jackets, not thought to be police, were waving traffic past.

Emergency services were called to the scene.
