The Year R, 1 and 2 pupils enjoyed a day of special activities and games to round off their topic work linked to habitats and mini beasts and dressed up for the occasion as all manner of creepy crawlies.
As part of the event, the four to seven-year-olds received a visit from workers from the Wildwood Trust who organised a bug hunt in the school grounds.
They also got to decorate biscuits and creatures out of paper plates.
Parents were invited into the hall at 3pm to see the youngsters sing songs and read poems.
Teacher Sarah Carbasse said: “Everyone had a great time. It was fantastic. Last year we did a pirate and mermaid day so this was our second activity day.”
