A woman has been taken to hospital after a rush-hour crash.

The accident, which involved two cars, closed a slip road onto the A249 after it happened on on Grovehurst Road, Kemsley.

Emergency services were called around 2.40pm.

The entrance to the southbound A249 from Kemsley and Grovehurst was shut, but reopened at around 5.40pm.

A police spokesman said no serious injuries had been reported but a woman, believed to be in her 60s, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital after being checked over at the scene.

One ambulance and a paramedic car were in attendance.
