A crash involving four cars on the M2 caused delays for other motorists this afternoon.

The accident partially blocked the coastbound carriageway between Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Junction 6 for Faversham.

It happened at about 2pm and traffic had cleared by 3.30pm.

A police spokesman said officers had been called at 1.58pm and several vehicles were said to have been involved.

No one is reported to have been injured, he added.
