Water supplies have been restored to properties after a water main burst yesterday, causing a main road to flood.

There was about six-inches of water in the road and engineers from South East Water were battling to stop it reaching people's homes.

Properties close to where the burst occurred were without water for slightly longer.
A South East Water spokesman apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused and encouraged people to phone the company's free Leakline if they spot a leak.
