Elderly people living in flats were left shaken after a man was allegedly spotted with a knife before smashing people’s windows.
Police were called to Osprey Court in Sittingbourne at around 5pm on Wednesday evening to a disturbance.
Former Swale councillor Ken Rowles, who lives nearby, said: “There was a resident who was threatening people with knives and throwing bricks through windows.
“All the people living here were very concerned and frightened.”
Mr Rowles, who used to represent Labour, claims around 12 homes in the area were affected by the disturbance and left people shaken.
A police spokesman added: “Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and one person was taken to hospital following a medical episode.
“Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
A Southern Housing spokesman said: “Our staff have been at Osprey Court on Thursday to provide reassurance and we remain in touch with the relevant agencies following this incident.”
