Motorists faced delays after a collapsed manhole on the M2 near Sittingbourne.

The London-bound entry slip was closed briefly for emergency repair work at junction 5 with the A249 which serves Maidstone and the Isle of Sheppey.

The road reopened at 2.09pm.
