Sittingbourne: Police and paramedics respond concerns for man's welfare near the junction of Bell Road and Highsted Road

Police and ambulance crews were called to Sittingbourne last night after concerns were raised the welfare of a man.

The incident happened just before 11pm near the junction of Bell Road and Highsted Road.

Police attended in a supporting role and it is believed the man was taken to hospital with back pain.

A Kent Police spokesman confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious at this stage and no arrests were made.

The man is not believed to have fallen from height.

South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) has been approached for comment.
