Firefighters were called to a garage fire yesterday evening.

Two fire engines were sent to the blaze in Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip, near Sittingbourne, at about 6.30pm.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find the detached garage well alight.

"Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze."

He added: "No casualties were reported and the cause has not yet been confirmed."

Crews left just after 7.20pm.
