By Hayley Robinson

A former Highsted Grammar School pupil will perform at Radio One’s Big Weekend.

The event, which is the country’s biggest free music festival, is taking place in Bangor, north Wales, on Saturday and Sunday.

Gemma Onslow, 26, (pictured second from the left) is a member of What Would Jesus Drive? an electronic indie band which is playing on the introducing stage at the festival on Saturday.

At the gig they will be rubbing shoulders with stars including Pendulum, Cheryl Cole, Florence and the Machine and Dizzee Rascal.

Gemma plays the drum machine and synthesizers for the band.

What Would Jesus Drive? currently has three singles out available on iTunes and an album which was released three weeks ago called Black and Blue.
