A large grass fire broke out in Sittingbourne last night.

Four fire engines were sent to Milton Creek Country Park just after 11pm.

Crews arrived by the Green Porch Close entrance to find a large area, measuring 50 sq m, of grass and undergrowth well alight.

Using hose reel jets, firefighters extinguished the fire by 11.43pm.

The cause of the blaze isn't known.
