Four fire engines were sent to tackle a house fire.
Crews were called to Peregrine Drive, Sittingbourne, at 10.22am and have been using breathing apparatus while trying to control the blaze with two hose reel jets and a main jet.
They also used water from a hydrant to put out the fire in the roof and first floor of a two-storey terraced property.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is not known.
A police spokesman said officers were sent at 10.31am and closed Stanhope Avenue and South Avenue, as well as Peregrine Drive.
Firefighters left by 11.21am.
