Grief-stricken relatives have launched an appeal on behalf of a teenage cyclist killed in a car crash.
Cavan Scott, 19, from Sittingbourne died at the scene after his green Barracuda bicycle was in collision with a black VW Polo in Lower Road, Teynham, in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday.
His aunt Rachael Godfrey has created a crowd-funding page on behalf of his family to help cover funeral expenses.
She said: "Cavan was a caring, handsome, loving, selfless, funny handsome 19-year-old boy with his whole life ahead of him.
"He loved life and had just started a new job. He was excited for all the plans he had made for the future.
"His family were his world, his friends, too. He would have done anything for anyone."
She added: "Cavan leaves behind a very close-knit family including his younger brother and sister.
"Their hearts have been shattered to pieces and their lives will never be the same again. Getting through each day has been the hardest struggle of their lives.
"They will never see him grow up, have kids or make any future memories together. This has all tragically been taken away from them."
She said: "We have decided that this is the best way for people to help give Cavan the send-off he deserves.
"Everyone has shown so much support through this incredibly hard time and we thank them whole-heartedly for this."
She has set a target of £1,000. By this morning donations had reached more than £700. To donate, click here.
Friends of Cavan will be holding a car meeting in his memory on Saturday evening from 8pm at Neats Court retail park, Queenborough.
A spokesman for the Dirtee South Sheppey car club said: "We will be holding this meet in memory of Cavan Scott, 19, who sadly passed away not so long ago. Cavan was a big car fan. We will be letting off some red balloons as he was a big Liverpool fan as well."
Five people have been arrested following the crash. An 18-year-old man from Faversham, a 19-year-old man from Sheerness and a 20-year-old woman from Chatham were taken into custody on the same day.
The 20-year-old woman and 18-year-old man have been bailed until the end of May. The 19-year-old from Sheppey remains in custody, according to police. Yesterday (Wednesday) officers made two further arrests, a 17-year-old girl from Canterbury and a 20-year-old man from Sheerness. They also remain in custody.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses and CCTV or dashcam footage.
