A MAN was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries after he was set upon by a gang of youths. The 40-year-old and a friend were attacked in High Street, Sittingbourne between 11pm and 11.30pm onFriday.
They were walking past the Co-op store when a group of around 10 youths began harassing them. They were assaulted outside the Thresher off license and fell to the ground where they were punched and kicked.
The man, who lives in Sittingbourne, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital before being transferred to a hospital in East Grinstead for treatment to a broken nose, loss of three teeth and bruising to his face.
