A blaze that broke out in the early hours of this morning began to spread from a garage to the roof of a house.
Four fire engines attended the scene in Helen Thompson Close in Iwade, Sittingbourne, just before 4.30am.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to a fire spreading from a garage to the roof of an adjoining property.
"Wearing breathing apparatus they used main jets, hose reel jets and water from a local hydrant to extinguish the blaze."
No casualties were reported, and the cause has not been confirmed.
