A girl who died after a tree collapsed on her near Sittingbourne has been named.

Maisy Mayne was struck just after noon on Friday along a footpath in a field between Stickfast Lane and Parsonage Lane, Bobbing . She was just eight years old.

The youngster died at the scene while another girl was taken to King's College Hospital in London.

An inquest into her death will be opened on Friday at 9.30am at County Hall in Maidstone.
