A woman accused of several assaults at a public library will stand trial later this year.
In one of two incidents at Sittingbourne Library in Central Avenue, Olga Newson is alleged to have attacked a staff member with a hammer.
The 46-year-old-old was due to enter a pleas on Monday but refused to leave her cell at Bronzefield Prison in Ashford, Surrey, to appear on a TV link with Maidstone Crown Court.
She is accused of wounding Janice Bestal with intent to do grievous bodily harm, assaulting Caroline Frater, causing actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon, a hammer, on June 22 this year.
Newson, of Oak Road, Murston, is also accused of common assault on Brenda Bingham and another woman on June 20.
Judge Heather Baucher ordered that a not guilty plea be entered on her behalf and set a trial date for October 29.
Newson did not have legal representation.
