Traffic is queuing on the M2 in both directions after an earlier crash on the south-bound A249.

There are reported to be long delays before J5 for the A249 and Sittingbourne, with congestion stretching back to J6 for Faversham, and to J4 for Gillingham.

It follows an earlier crash on the A249 south-bound at the Bobbing turn off with Staplehurst Road, Sittingbourne.

The front of the vehicle has been badly damaged in a collision.

It is being reported a second accident has happened on the same stretch.

Police, fire and ambulance are currently on the scene.
