More than £10,000 was raised within seven hours to help with funeral costs of a teenager who died after a car crash on the A249.
Georgia Mann, who was 15 and from Sittingbourne, was a passenger in a black Audi A1 Sport which was involved in a collision with a white Volkswagen Caddy van shortly before midnight on Wednesday.
The crash happened on the Sheppey-bound slip road onto the A249 at Bobbing, near Sittingbourne.
Georgia's sister, Sammy Louise Law, set up a GoFundMe page for her funeral and memorial – and it had raised more than £10,400 within seven hours of going live after more than 700 people gave donations.
On the page, Sammy described her sister as "beautiful".
She said the Westlands Secondary School pupil was in a critical condition after the crash and doctors had done everything they could.
Georgia was taken to London's King's College Hospital, where she died this morning, police confirmed.
Sammy added: "She is donating all the organs she can to help other children and families to not have the pain we are going through right now.
"I'm raising money to give her the best funeral we can and have some kind of memorial."
Simon Cox, head teacher of Westlands Secondary School, said an assembly with Georgia's year group will be held on Monday morning when pupils return from half term, and ongoing support will be available for those affected by the tragedy.
Staff are also planning to celebrate her life and contribution to the school.
"We have lost Georgia, one of our popular, enthusiastic Year 11 students, who had the personality to fill any room"
Mr Cox said: "It is with the greatest of sorrow that we have lost Georgia, one of our popular, enthusiastic Year 11 students, who had the personality to fill any room.
"I have spoken to her mum and passed on our heartfelt condolences. Over the coming days we have agreed to meet to plan a celebration of Georgia’s life.
"In the meantime we will be discussing this tragic event with pupils, parents and staff, and making sure that support is available for all.
"To quote one of my colleagues: 'So unbelievably sad. Georgia epitomised our school. Someone who didn’t always have it easy, but who was maturing into a real success story'.
"All of us in the school community and beyond are going to miss her."
The driver of the Audi sustained chest injuries and was taken to a London hospital following the accident.
The man, who is in his 20s and from Gillingham, was standing beside his car after it came to a stop – believed to have been after it broke down – when it was involved in the collision with the van.
He has since been discharged.
A woman in her 20s, from Swale, also sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition. She was also a passenger in the Audi.
The driver of the van, a 42-year-old man from Murston, near Sittingbourne, was yesterday arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Police said he has since been released "pending further inquiries".
The A249 was shut Sheppey-bound between the A2 Key Street Roundabout, near Keycol, and the B2005 Grovehurst Road for Iwade and Kemsley for almost 10 hours after the crash.
