An inquest into the death of a severely autistic man is due to be held tomorrow (Wednesday).

Christopher Wakeman left Byfield Court Care Home, in Sheppey Way, Bobbing, where he lived and then, a short time later, he fell about 20ft from the Quinton flyover onto the A249.

A post mortem found the 23-year-old had died from multiple injuries on November 28 last year.

A police investigation found no criminal offences had taken place.

The hearing will be held at the Archbishop’s Palace, Maidstone, (pictured) at 10.30am.

Mum Catherine Butters, from Minster, will be attending with her husband David, her daughter and son-in law Katie and James Tancock and her sister Alison Fritter.

A member of staff from the care home is expected to give evidence.

An investigation into Mr Wakeman’s death is being carried out by Kent County Council, Medway council and ACH Care Homes, which runs Byfield Court.

A solicitor is looking into the case on behalf of Mrs Butters.
