An inquest into the death of a young woman who tragically died after falling on to train tracks was opened this morning.
Sophie Lintott of The Finches, Sittingbourne, collapsed at the town's train station in front of 100 passengers earlier this month.
She was rushed to King's College Hospital where she died a day later.
Coroner Patricia Harding heard the 18-year-old financial administrator, who was described as fit and well, fell onto the live rail and suffered severe burns and head injuries.
The brief hearing at Maidstone's Archbishop's Palace heard pathologist Dr David Rouse had carried out a post-mortem examination and recorded causes of death as a lack of oxygen to the brain and electric burns.
A provisional date of Tuesday, January 26, was set for a full inquest.
In the days following her death tributes poured in for Miss Lintott.
