A Swale bus driver could be crowned the best in the UK after being chosen by passengers as a regional bus superhero.
Dennis Vickers made the shortlist for the category in Arriva’s Made a Difference Awards.
The campaign is a national recognition programme which looks at all elements of the company, including; engineering, depot management and back office functions.
Mr Vickers now faces the public vote again, as customers are invited to choose who makes the national final when it’s held at the Holiday Inn in Stratford Upon Avon next month.
Brian Drury, from Arriva Southern Counties, said: “We are incredibly proud to have some of the most helpful, caring and committed individuals amongst our dedicated team of drivers.
“Dennis thoroughly deserves to be nominated for this award because of his positive attitude towards providing excellent customer service to our passengers.
“Bus drivers play a pivotal role within the local community, so it is only right that the public will decide who will be crowned as our Bus Superhero.
“We would urge anyone wanting to support their favourite driver, and take them all the way to the final, to go online now and share their thanks for being a true bus hero, through and through.”
