Jason Dolby has decided to link up again with Jim Ward, this time at Sittingbourne.
Ward, who says he has been working "feverishly" with fellow joint-manager Danny Ward in recent days chasing players for next season, was pleasantly surprised when Dolby got in touch.
Ward (pictured) said: "Jason rang me and said he wanted to play for me again.
"The only reason he stopped playing for me at Ramsgate was because the travelling was too much as he lives in west Kent but Sittingbourne is a lot easier for him."
A member of the Dolby footballing clan which also includes brother Ryan at Bromley and cousin Tony, the former Tonbridge manager, Jason can play in midfield or centre-half.
Ward added: "Jason had spells at Cray Wanderers and Chipstead last season but didn’t really settle but I’m delighted to have him on board again because he’s a good player."
Ward voiced similar sentiments over the decision of striker Hicham Akhazzan to commit to the Brickies for another season, saying: " A lot of other clubs wanted Hicham and I’m delighted that he’s staying.
"He’s already scored goals here and he is capable of scoring even more next season."
Two other members of last season’s squad, Luke Girt and Matt Reed, have also re-signed along with two more young players, Joe Harvey and Thomas Loynes.
