A man has been arrested in connection with a town burglary.
Police was called to an address in Adisham Green, Kemsley, after a number of jewellery items, £3,500 worth of camera equipment and a mobile phone were taken.
It happened between 9am and 4pm on Tuesday, April 2.
A 20-year-old man, from Sittingbourne, questioned on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage, has been bailed until June 5.
Over the past 18 weeks the News Extra has been reporting on the number of attempted break-ins and burglaries in and around Sittingbourne.
The total brought to the paper’s attention now stands at more than 190.
The latest incidents are as follows:
The front door of a house in Pear Tree Walk, Newington, was forced at 7.20pm on Thursday, March 28 – XY/009544/13.
Attempts were made to enter a shed, a garage and a storage chest in the garden of a property in Laxton Way, Milton Regis, sometime on March 26-27 – XY/009821/13.
Thieves propped up a fence panel to get to a shed in Swanstree Avenue, Sittingbourne. Nothing was taken.
The incident happened just after 11.30pm on Friday, March 29 – XY/009840/13.
Three mountain bikes were stolen from a garden shed in Onyx Drive, Sittingbourne, overnight April 5-6 –XY/010543/13.
Camping equipment was taken along with meat from a freezer in a shed in a garden in Diligent Drive, Milton Regis. It happened overnight April 6-7 – XY/010507/13.
Various items were stolen during a burglary in Tonge Road, Murston, between 3pm and 11.20pm on April 2 – XY/010085/13.
The glass back door of a property in Easton Drive, Great Easthall, Sittingbourne, was broken to gain access sometime overnight April 2-7 – XY/010542/13.
Two batteries for electric fencing and an energiser were stolen from Sunnyhill Farm, Munsgore Lane, Borden, overnight April 3-4 – XY/010270/13.
A grey and red mini digger with no cab, on rubber tracks was stolen from The Old Electricity Yard, St Michael’s Road, Sittingbourne, overnight April 3-4 – XY/010203/13.
Internal damage was caused after thieves broke into the shop at Morrisons petrol station, Mill Way, Sittingbourne. It happened just after 1.30am on Wednesday, April 3 – XY/010093/13.
