A quirk of fate has put teenager Kayleigh Glover as the central character in pop sensation Zara Larsson’s latest music video.
The 18-year-old, from Murston, landed a leading role in the Swedish singer’s latest song, Don’t Let Me Be Yours, alongside dad Nick after a chance encounter.
Production crews were meant to film up North, but a sudden change of heart saw them choose Arena Essex which got in touch with the dad and daughter who both race stock cars.

The video was filmed in March and focuses on Kayleigh as she prepares for a race.
Her father Nick, who works as an injection moulding technician, said: “It happened purely by chance.
“The production staff were looking for female drivers and my daughter was approached.
“We’ve never done acting or acting classes before and are just part of the racing fraternity, as are some of the other girls in the video.”
Shot over two days, the video focuses on the former Fulston Manor pupil psyching herself up before taking part and winning the race.
Her dad, 47, who races 2L stock cars, said: “I was the one doing the doughnuts with Zara in the video.
“The car shouldn’t have a passenger seat but the producers asked if we could put one in for some filming.
“The scenes with Kayleigh driving, it actually is her.”
She began racing mini-stock cars aged 12, travelling around the country to compete and has recently passed her driving test.
“We’ve never been part of anything like this before,” he added.
“It wasn’t until we got the scripts that I turned to her and said: “You are the main character, you do realise that?”
“Kayleigh knew who Zara Larsson was and it was really surreal.
“Her friends are interested in that sort of music, my daughter has her album now!”
According to Mr Glover, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter is “down to earth” and “not a diva at all”.
The track is written in part by Ed Sheeran.
