Youngsters in Kemsley have a new-look youth centre to enjoy.
The Kemsley Youth House has been completely refurbished thanks to the AmicusHorizon’s People for Action team which run the centre in Coldharbour Lane .
Ch Insp Tony Henley of Kent Police opened the centre and was joined by Eileen Martin, regional director of AmicusHorizon.
Staff from the National Grid and Kent County Council which helped fund the project were also there for the ceremony.
Vouchers and certificates were handed to youngsters and adults who gave their time to help with the refurbishment.
The Youth House provides a safe environment for children and young people, between the ages of eight and 19 years, to meet.
It offers opportunities for personal and social development including arts and crafts, an afterschool club and mother and toddlers group.
It is approaching its tenth anniversary thanks to the financial support of AmicusHorizon.
