Sittingbourne coach operator Chalkwell Coach Hire has been drafted in to help beat train strikes likely to hit the Commonwealth Games.
The sporting spectacular in Birmingham and surrounding areas is expected to attract people from all over the UK.
But with the rail network likely to be disrupted by strikes, Chalkwell has been hired so sports fans can still get to see the events.
Chalkwell is sending a number of vehicles and drivers to the West Midlands for the 11-day international event which opens tomorrow (Thursday).
Roland Eglinton, the firm's managing director, said: “We are delighted to be involved in the Commonwealth Games which, in itself, showcases what the UK can do. Our staff have really pulled together to make this happen."
He added: "We have a lot of experience in providing transport for events both big and small. I’m sure the team will do a very good job.”
The vehicles being used are all fitted with the latest ultra low-emission technology to ensure the transport is environmentally sustainable.
Among those taking part in the games will be table tennis star Ross Wilson from Minster on the Isle of Sheppey.
He won his first table tennis competition aged seven while wearing an Arsenal shirt on a family holiday to Center Parcs.
Wilson, 27, is bidding to defend the singles title he won in the men's class 8 on the Gold Coast in 2018.
He is one of more than 1,100 elite athletes on UK Sport's National Lottery-funded World Class Programme, allowing them to train full-time, have access to the world's best coaches and benefit from pioneering technology, science, and medical support.
