Latest burglaries from across the Sittingbourne area

One hundred litres of cooking oil was stolen from a shed at the back of a pub.

It happened at The Tudor Rose, Chestnut Street, Borden, between October 5-6.

It was one of more than 380 burglaries and attempted break-ins around the Sittingbourne area which have been brought to the News Extra’s attention since last November.

The latest incidents are:

The Westlands School in Westlands Avenue, Sittingbourne, was broken into at 1.30am on Wednesday, September 25. A window and door were damaged and a laptop taken – XY/030401/13.

A BMX bicycle was stolen from a garden shed in Manor Grove, Sittingbourne, between October 4-9 – XY/032264/13.

A horse bag and riding helmet were stolen from stables in Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip, between 1.30am and 9am on October 12 – XY/032662/13.

An attempt was made to break into a garage in Cryalls Lane, Sittingbourne, between 1.30pm and 4pm on October 12 – XY/032704/13.

Car keys were stolen during a burglary in Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne. The thieves then took a blue Mini Cooper convertible registration ET04 NMK, parked outside. It happened overnight between October 10-11 – XY/032453/13.

A black coat and a bag were stolen during a burglary in Kenilworth Court, Sittingbourne, between October 10-11 – XY/032459/13.

Gardening power tools and a hose were stolen from a garden shed in Alexandra Close, Milton Regis, between October 10-11 – XY/032769/13.

A Ryobi strimmer was stolen from a garden shed in Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip, between 1am and 2am on October 12 – XY/032714/13.

An external storage box at the Co-op in High Street, Milton Regis, was broken into at 3.30am on October 10 and magazines were stolen – XY/032617/13.

A carpet-cleaner was stolen during a burglary at Ashby Cleaning Equipment, Chapel Park, Stadium Way, Murston, between October 12-13 – XY/032756/13.

During a burglary in Shortlands Road, Sittingbourne, keys and a Ford Fusion registration EO52 OJG were stolen along with a Samsung Tablet. This was some time after 1.30am on October 12 – XY/032625/13.

A bicycle and a petrol-driven lawn mower were stolen from a garden shed in Meads Avenue, Sonora Fields, just after 3am on October 10 – XY/032341/13.
