One person has been hurt and there are rush-hour delays after a two-car crash on the M2.

The A249 southbound was partially blocked due to the incident at J5, Sittingbourne, near Stockbury Roundabout.

There is congestion to Bobbing Roundabout with journeys taking an extra 30 minutes.

The road was fully blocked but cameras show one lane has reopened.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 7.25am to a collision involving two cars on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 near Stockbury.

"Officers attended the scene where one of the driver reported a minor injury."
