A man has been arrested following a disturbance in a residential street.

Officers were called to Church Lane in Newington, near Sittingbourne, at around 12pm.

They attended following reports of a disturbance at a property and a man was arrested on suspicion of affray.

He remains in custody while inquires continue.

Two police cars were also seen driving in the direction of the town.
