Man arrested on suspicion of assault after police called to West Street in Sittingbourne

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after police were called to a town centre disturbance.

Officers were called to West Street in Sittingbourne, near Aida Kebab House, shortly before 3pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said: "One person reported they had been assaulted.

"No medical treatment was needed.

"A 24-year-old man, from Sittingbourne, was arrested for assault and has been released under investigation."
