A Sittingbourne man has been charged after two people were hurt in a crash.

Police and paramedics were called out to the northbound A249 Detling Hill just after 1am on Saturday after a crash near the Kent Showground.

The crash involved two cars.

Secamb confirmed three ambulances were sent to the scene.

Two people were treated and taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

The road reopened just before 6am.

Aaron Milliam, 38, of London Road, Sittingbourne was arrested at the scene and later charged with failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis.

He has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court on July 30.
