A man was said to be suffering from shock following a two car crash at a notorious junction.

A Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Polo collided near the turn-off for McDonald's on Sheppey Way in Bobbing, blocking the road in both directions.

It happened at 3.50pm and police and ambulance crews were called to the scene.

A police spokesman said: "A man was reported to be suffering from shock and two children were being carried in one of the vehicles.

"No serious injuries were reported and the children were examined as a precaution."

The road reopened just after 4pm.
