Marc Seager insists he is not planning on ousting Sittingbourne boss Joe Dowley.
The former Whitstable manager made a surprise appearance in the Brickies dug-out on Saturday to cover for the holidaying Dowley.
Seager (pictured) helped the side end a five-game losing streak against Whyteleafe by claiming a goalless draw and has two more matches at the helm.
The caretaker manager said: "I am doing this because Andy Spice (Sittingbourne chairman) is a close friend.
"My agreement is for three games and that’s it. But what happens after that only time will tell. You can never rule anything out in football."
With the support of Dowley and Mr Spice, Seager has been given complete freedom with the squad and he brought in three fresh faces at the weekend. And he is hoping to bring in more ahead of Saturday’s game at Chipstead.
"With eight defeats from 11 and five defeats on the spin, nobody could moan about me bringing players in," said Seager.
"The players were over the moon as they could see I was going into this with purpose. I don’t ever do anything half-hearted."
