A micropub has been crowned as the best in the borough for the third year in a row.
The Paper Mill in Charlotte Street, Sittingbourne, was given the award by the Swale branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
Chairman Paul Irving presented the award.
The team at the family-run pub, which opened in October 2013, is headed up by Marianne Melia and son Harvey.
It will now face others in the regional heats to become National Pub of The Year.
Harvey said: “We’re very proud of the achievement. You cannot get any higher for area and every real ale selling pub is eligible which makes it all the more rewarding. It’s good to know what were doing is worthwhile.”
There are always at least four real ales available at The Paper Mill, with Goacher’s mild the ever present.
The Admiral’s Arm in Queenborough, which opened last year, won Swale Cider Pub of the Year and was a runner-up in the Pub of the Year category.
The Paper Mill is open daily from 5pm until 9pm Monday to Thursday, from noon - 2pm and 5pm - 9pm on Fridays, from noon - 9pm on Saturdays and from noon - 6pm on Sundays.
