A249 Maidstone-bound traffic chaos

Motorists faced long tailbacks on the A249 this morning following an accident which closed one lane of the carriageway.

The incident happened southbound between the Key Street roundabout and the Stockbury roundabout during rush hour.

It is not clear how many vehicles were involved or if any injuries were reported.
