A group of eight lucky neighbours have struck gold after winning cash prizes thanks to their postcode.

The residents living in Sandstone Drive, Kemsley, near Sittingbourne, each won £1,000 in the People's Postcode Lottery.

The windfall came when ME10 2PL was announced as a daily prize winner this morning.

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.

She said: “I’m thrilled that we could bring some happy news to our winners today, congratulations!”

The lottery draw aims to donate a minimum of 32% of ticket sales to charities, and players have so far raised over £500million for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
