A new service has been launched to help people living with dementia.
Sittingbourne Library in Central Avenue will now host the Read Aloud Dementia Group following the success of a similar scheme in Canterbury.
The sessions, which are held on the first Thursday of every month, involve passages of books and poems read out for the group to discuss afterwards.
Daren Kearl, who runs both sessions, said: “The people that come along to the Canterbury one loved reading and stories but found it more difficult to concentrate.
"It’s helping them to still enjoy stories.”
The next meeting will be on Thursday, July 2.
