Speculation is growing over the future of a former high street Burton store.
The clothing shop is being fitted out, with viral energy drink, Prime, and household products such as pots, heaters and incense sticks spotted in the window of the unit, in Sittingbourne.
Outside there is no signage change or any posters indicating who owns the new store, when it will open and what it will be selling.
The old Burton logo remains.
A Swale council spokesman confirmed that no plans had been submitted to the council.
He said: "The property has permission as a retail unit, so as long as the use is the same there is no need for the owners to apply for a change of use or planning permission."
Burton was a high street retailer specialising in men's clothing and footwear.
However, it is now an online-only seller.
In February 2021 it was bought by internet brand Boohoo.
It came after Arcadia Group, which owned Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Wallis, went into administration in 2020 and put all its stores up for sale.
