Fancy working out on gym equipment in the fresh air?
Thanks to cash from the Big Lottery fund, Sittingbourne's first outside gym has been installed at Ceres Court, Murston, and is now ready for use.
It cost £30,000 to construct and equipment includes an agility bench, horseback rider, chest press, leg press, equipment that allows people to perform pull-ups and pull-downs and also a piece of equipment that replicates ski-ing motions.
No training is needed to use the equipment, but a guidance board has been erected explaining how to do the work-outs.
It is hoped the outdoor gym equipment and teenage shelter will complement the ball court that is already on the site.
Contractor Wicksteed, from Kettering, constructed the gym. It was due to open in February but it was delayed due to snow.
