Milton Creek Country Park will play host to artists and performers on Saturday.
Art in the Park will be held between 10am and 4pm.
It is part of a joint venture between Milton Creek Trust and Friends with the Swale Arts Forum.
Local mural artist Dean Tweedy will be artist in residence, embellishing the play area with his own creative response to the natural environment by painting a giant bee.
The Kent Geocachers will be on hand to demonstrate this new hi- tech outdoor activity and provide visitors with a chance to try it out for themselves.
The Dogs Trust display unit will be featuring two dogs from its Chestfield re-homing centre. It is also offering a free micro-chipping service.
People of all ages can get up close and personal with animals they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity of meeting such as snakes and tarantulas as Teynham-based Creepy Claws animal displays will also be in attendance.
In addition to the park’s usual attractions for informal play and recreation, there will be a village market selling a range of local produce as well as charities promoting their work in the community, a bouncy castle and face painting.
Guided walks by Milton Creek Trust and Friends will run throughout the day.
The town’s own steam railway runs through the park and there will be a train stationed at Burley Crossing where the Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway volunteers will be on hand to talk about its history.
Entrance is free. Car parking, which costs £1, will be available at the Saffron Way entrance and a fundraising map and programme will be sold by event staff for £1.
