A GB Paralympian and Countryfile presenter from Kent has won a celebrity episode of TV quiz show Mastermind.
Steve Brown was presented with a trophy and a donation to his chosen charity after scoring high on the show.
The 43-year-old was born in Chatham, brought up on Sheppey and now lives in Sittingbourne.
In 2005, he became paralysed after breaking his neck during a fall from a balcony while working abroad.
After arriving at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, which has a world-renowned spinal injuries unit, he was taken to watch wheelchair rugby. He took up the sport and went on to represent Britain in the London 2012 Paralympics.
He has since become a TV presenter, public speaker and mentor, appearing on Countryfile, Blue Planet and Springwatch.
In May 2018, he also was made a Freeman of Swale.
The quiz show, hosted by newsreader Clive Myrie, requires contestants to choose a specialist subject as well as answer general knowledge questions.
Steve went up against sports reporter Kelly Somers, actor Adam James and comedian Thanyia Moore in the celebrity episode.
His chosen subject was owls and he scored the maximum 10 points during his first round.
In the general knowledge section, he gave six correct answers and passed on one.
A total score of 16 points put him in first place.
As well as winning the coveted trophy, Steve received a donation to his chosen charity, the Swale Youth Development Fund.
He said: “I want to say a big thank you to everyone for their kind messages regarding my performance on Mastermind.
“I don’t think anyone is more surprised at me winning than I am.
“I’m glad I didn’t let any of my nature-loving friends or associates down with my specialist subject.
“I’m pleased the donation made to the Youth Development Fund will make a huge difference.”
The BBC Two programme aired last Monday (December 30) at 7.30pm. You can watch the episode now on iPlayer.
