A pizzeria has reopened under new management after it suddenly closed.
Customers were left concerned The Pizza Joint in Sittingbourne had shut its doors for good when it stopped operating last month.
Now, weeks after shutting, a member of the shop has revealed it is now back open for trading with new faces at the helm.
Mario Przetacznik is the manager of the restaurant at Grove Park Shopping Centre in Gadby Road.
The 45-year-old says the pizzeria is to offer a sit-down and takeaway service, with a delivery option also on the cards in the coming weeks.
He explained: "The previous owner has now left. But we have reopened, so everything is very busy at the moment.
"The menu is the same as it was before the shop closed, except at lunchtime where we are going to offer more deals between 11am and 4pm.
"It will probably stay like this for another three months as there is a lot to do.
"There are a lot of different pizzas which people can buy, including vegan options.
"People can also come in and sit down to eat as we have three tables for about six people.
"We will be using Just Eat and Uber Eats for our deliveries which will start happening in a few weeks."
The eatery will be open from 11am until 10.30pm from Monday to Sunday.
Former owner Gurpreet Rai opened The Pizza Joint in December last year.
When the takeaway closed last month, a post on the eatery’s Facebook page explained Gurpreet had taken a trip to Naples in Italy to learn how to make Neapolitan pizzas, and promised “exciting things on the horizon”.
