Plans have been put forward to open a branch of a Canadian coffeehouse at the site of a butcher’s shop.
The proposal would see Swalemill Butchers’ unit on Sittingbourne Retail Park become a Tim Hortons.
The new site would include a drive-thru, with up to 50 jobs available in full-time and part-time roles.
No opening times have been revealed yet, but the Gravesend store is open from 8am to 5pm Monday-Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sundays.
The popular chain is famous for its Timbits, Iced Capps, freshly-baked doughnuts and breakfasts.
Tim Hortons has opened 77 branches across the UK since arriving in 2017.
The plans also include the creation of a new building for the butcher’s shop.
Last year, proposals were made for multiple units to be added to Sittingbourne Retail Park, and for Swalemill Butchers to move into a new store in the same park.
In March, however, these plans fell through and were officially withdrawn.
The company, which has branches in Gravesend and Ramsgate, had looked at vacant sites in the town centre but no suitable places were found.
