It is believed that an elderly man was found unconscious in the street early this evening.

Two police cars blocked off a section of South Avenue in Sittingbourne around 5.15pm.

Two ambulances were on the scene after it is believed an elderly man had been found.

It is not clear what happened exactly but the man is believed to have been unconscious and was taken to hospital.

The ambulances were parked outside South Avenue Primary School, near the junction with Watling Place.
