A busy road has now reopened, after a closure and traffic diversion was put in place earlier.

Staplehurst Road is one of the main routes into Sittingbourne, connecting the A249, Bobbing and Sonora Fields to Milton Regis and the town centre.

They closed it at the roundabout with Chalkwell Road, outside the Stumble Inn, after a lorry broke down.

The road was reopened at 1.35pm after the vehicle was recovered.
