DETECTIVES are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man's body in a disused garage.

The man has been named by police as 31-year-old Elliot Philpott from Sittingbourne.

Mr Philpott's body was found by police at around 4pm last Tuesday in the garage in Roman Square, just off Sittingbourne High Street. A post-mortem is being held.

Det Sgt Vicki Withnall, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are still investigating the cause of Mr Philpott’s death and are keen to speak to anyone who knows him or might have seen him in the days leading to his body being found”.
