A mum of two is the latest person from the town to take part in a television quiz show.

Rachel Rook, of Cormorant Road, Iwade, recently filmed for a new Sky 1 quiz show called Sell Me The Answer and won herself £2,500.

The show is fronted by former Blue Peter and Strictly Come Dancing star Gethin Jones and features a stock-exchange-style trading floor.

It features contestants being asked up to 10 questions, each worth an increasing amount of money.

If they do not know the answers they will be able to ask for help from 60 'traders’ who will try to convince them to negotiate a price for what might or might not be the correct answer.

Contestants will be able to win up to £25,000 in prize money. Mrs Rook, 30, was a 'trader’ and said she really enjoyed the experience.

She said: “I saw an advert for it on the internet and thought I’d apply. I had to go up to London for interviews and I got through."
